Initially founded by Ray Larrington, a muck spreading contractor who resorted to making his own trailers in Brothertoft, Linsolnshire as the trailers available at the time just weren't up to the job, Larrington Trailers have come on a long way since those early days. From these humble beginnings to where we are today, the timeline below shows a glimpse of us throughout the years.
A Machinery Showcase page to highlight a variety of machines we have manufactured over the years will be available soon. Keep a lookout for it.

Guardian Hydraulic Chute System
We released our latest innovation to our range of Guardian box loading trailers, the Hydraulic Chute System, allowing for a greater range of crops to be boxed in the field/on the move.
Extra Wide Majestic Body
Due to high customer demand, we introduced 8ft wide versions of our Majestic and Rootking trailers.

Ejector Blower Trailer
Due to high demand from customers wanting to blower trailers, we introduced our first Ejector blower trailer. Combining our Ejector system with the unique benefits of a blower system.
Crop Transfer Trailer
Our New Crop Transfer Trailer is developed with the help of growers, providing a system which allows smaller road going trailers waiting at the roadside to be loaded directly from the headland, reducing mud on the roads.

The Ejector
The Lamma 2012 show saw the unveiling of our first ever 'push-off' trailer, the Ejector.
The Half-pipe Trailer
The Harvester trailer is unveiled to the world at the LAMMA 2011 show.
This half-pipe trailer brought a more modern look to our trailer range, but packed a lot of great engineering features and innovations. It has quickly become one of our best-sellers.

The Larrington 'Eye'
We introduced a high-visibility full-width front grill to our range of trailers.
Giving end users unparalleled vision into their trailer. This feature has been very popular with our customers since and earned the nickname the Larrington 'Eye'.
Patented 'Super-Strong' Chassis
The Larrington 'Super-Strong' folded & formed chassis was unveiled at the LAMMA 2006 show. Unlike other regular trailer chassis made out of box section steel, the 'M' style chassis is made by folding full lengths of steel plate to create an incredibly strong structure.

More Award Winning Designs!
The 'Guardian' box loader was unveiled at the Smithfield show, winning the show's prestigious New Machinery Award in 2004.
Arches
We introduced arches to both the front and rear of our trailers.

Award Winning Design!
The Majestic trailer won the Machinery Innovation Award at the 1996 LAMMA show for being the first trailer to tip to 60°, creating the beet-heaping trailer.
The Original Beet Heaper
The 'Majestic' trailer was born, the very first beet-heaping trailer.
Often copied but never outdone, the Majestic has seen a few changes and upgrades over the years and remains a very popular choice today.

The Single Tipping Cylinder
We were the first UK manufacturer to introduce a single tipping cylinder on our trailers, and we have never looked back!
A Family Business
Ray retires from manufacturing and Richard Larrington take over the business.
Moving the company from it's original home in Brothertoft to Boston, where the factory remains today.

Pneumatic Suspension
First agricultural manufacturer to fit pneumatic suspension on an agricultural trailer. At this time, we tested our pneumatic suspension trailers alongside JCB who were working on a 'High Mobility Vehicle', at the time, which later became the FASTRAC we all know today.
First Hydraulic Tail Door
First hydraulic tail door fitted to an agricultural trailer.

The Birth of 'RL Trailers'
Due to high demand for his trailer, Ray stops the contracting business in favour of full-time manufacturing.
Custom Built Trailers
Due to the weakness of the wooden trailers available at the time,
Ray Larrington started making his own heavy-duty steel bodied trailers, fitted with commercial axles; to cope with the strenuous working conditions.

From Humble Beginnings
Ray Larrington establishes himself as a muck spreading contractor in Lincolnshire, England.
